Our Children: His Treasure Capital Campaign Receives $1 Million Gift

We are delighted and humbled to share that the Our Children: His Treasure Capital Campaign received a $1 million donation from a dear friend of the school, who wishes to remain anonymous. Part of the gift completes the donor’s faith promise pledge to these new early childhood classrooms. The balance of the gift will be used to pay ongoing construction costs for the addition.

As you may recall, in June 2022, the Association Voters approved this four-classroom/new Learning Center addition to our current Early Childhood Center, to serve a dire community need and a long SFLS waiting list for infant and toddler education/care.

The project cost, excluding furnishings, was $2,137,400, to be funded by ongoing campaign cash and pledges–then totaling $1,121,283–and a LCEF construction loan of $1.1 million.

As of December 31, 2022, we now have $2,042,920 in cash and pledges, meaning that our LCEF construction loan will be dramatically reduced. Praise be to God!

This addition is slated to be completed later this spring, just in time to open classrooms in the fall of 2023. It will serve our Lord and regional community needs for generations to come, allowing us to educate and share the good news of Jesus Christ with approximately 250 early childhood children and their families each year. It will also provide us with more flexible classroom use in our growing elementary grades.

We thank each and every individual who has supported this Gospel project for their fervent prayerful and financial support, and we ask that you continue to keep this project–including construction workers, donors, and our hiring efforts–in your prayers. Through your continued support, it is our goal to reduce our construction loan to zero, so that we can pass along the cost savings to families. “Let the little children come to me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14; Mark 10:14: Luke 18:16.
