In a changing and complex world, imagine a place dedicated to helping parents and the church raise children to be like Daniel, Esther, and Ruth—capable, faithful leaders, even in the face of adversity. Imagine your child having the skills to serve God and the world, with strength of character and purpose, knowing that they are loved and saved by Christ, forgiven by God, and heirs to His Kingdom. Imagine your child World Ready and Faith Secure.
At Sioux Falls Lutheran School, we value children, faith, family, community, and the integration of outstanding academic and scriptural training. We are committed to partnering with parents and the church to raise lifelong learners who use their gifts and the fruits of the Spirit, in faith, to touch a troubled world with God’s grace. Together, we create lifelong learners by:
transforming natural childhood curiosity into a passion for learning
thinking critically and working collaboratively within the classroom
exercising problem-solving and decision-making skills when challenges arise
fostering relationships across grade levels through teacher-led family group activities
faithfully and lovingly serving God and our neighbors
After exploring our academic programs on the following pages, it is our hope that you will gain a better understanding of what it means to have a Sioux Falls Lutheran School education. We invite you to schedule an Educational Success Consultation with our administrator to discuss the dreams you have for your child and the impact that Sioux Falls Lutheran School could have on achieving those goals.
APPLYING FOR ADMISSION
Our admissions process begins with an Educational Success Consultation. The complementary visit with our administrator, Mrs. Tia Esser, is designed to help us understand your family’s needs and give you a true understanding of what it means to receive a Sioux Falls Lutheran School education. It also provides opportunities to meet teachers and tour our facility.
To schedule your Educational Success Consultation, contact our admissions director, Mrs. Megan Baedke, at 605-335-1923. We look forward to meeting you!

What Families are Saying:
“Each of my children attended kindergarten at a wonderful Christian school, but I can truly say the SFLS offered the most well-rounded kindergarten experience. The academics are strong and the co-curricular components—such as art, music, religion/faith formation, and PE—are even stronger. SFLS offers a challenging, yet nurturing, well-rounded approach to education and the growth of the entire child. We love the holistic approach it takes.”
–Rebecca, SFLS Parent
“I often marvel at the ways that Sioux Falls Lutheran School is impacting my life, even today. Early on, ADHD provided a serious obstacle to my education. I can only imagine where I would be if I had not received the support and attention of the staff and teachers at SFLS. Beyond that, I can’t stress how important it is to receive an education where faith and school are joined hand in hand. The knowledge and values that I started to cultivate at SFLS have been vital in defending and grounding my faith throughout my life thus far.”
–Paul, SFLS Class of 2010
