SFLS Inducts Inaugural Class of National Honor Society Scholars

The Sioux Falls Lutheran School chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) inducted its inaugural class of scholars on November 7 in the Vaughn & JoAnn Meyer Chapel and Performing Arts Center. NHS is a nationwide organization that provides a values-based framework to elevate a culture of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. By joining the SFLS chapter of NHS, students agree to uphold those four pillars–including Godly character–within our school family and the greater Sioux Falls community. They will do so by organizing and leading at least one service project each semester (one for SFLS and one for the community) and leading their high school peers through intentional discipleship efforts for K-8 students.

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above were invited to apply, and their applications were evaluated by a faculty council consisting of five SFLS teachers. Please help us welcome the following students into the SFLS chapter of the National Honor Society: Daniel Ascher, Luke Ascher, Jonathan Baumann, Anastasia Blom, Bethany Dunkle, Angelyn Dunkle, Annaliese Hoekman, Dante Johansen, Benjamin Mangold, Kelsie Miller, Ethan Olson, Grant Prouty, and Emma Stubkjaer.
