Intended field of study: Nutrition and Dietetics

What makes SDSU a good fit for you?
SDSU has a wonderful nutrition and dietetics program with lots of research opportunities for me to take up! SDSU also offers many clubs and organizations that I can get involved in.

How did you feel when you received the news of your acceptance?
I was very excited to receive my acceptance and grateful that my college plans were being finalized.

How did you decide on a school/field of study?
I have always loved science and learning about how molecules interact with our bodies. This interest led me to the field of nutrition and dietetics. As soon as I visited SDSU and saw their nutrition lab, I knew it was a great fit.

Which classes, programs, and/or faculty at SFLS helped support your interest in your planned field of study?
I have loved every science course I’ve taken at Sioux Falls Lutheran School. I especially enjoyed AP Bio, which is the class that made me fall in love with the field of biology.

What is your favorite high school memory?
My favorite memory was playing bean boozled on the senior class trip.

What advice would you share with underclassmen at SFLS?
Try new things, no matter how difficult or frightening it may seem. Countless opportunities will arise when you just take a risk.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” –Revelation 21:4
