Ways to Volunteer
Activities
Volunteers help support the many athletic, fine arts, and extracurricular activities at SFLS throughout the school year. From directing traffic and taking tickets to serving as a line judge or bookkeeper, there are many ways to get involved and support our students.

Annual Book Sale
The annual used book sale raises funds to support SFLS’s needs-based tuition assistance program, helping make a Christ-centered education accessible to more families. Volunteers can help organize and prepare donated books, assist shoppers during the sale, and help with setup and cleanup.

Baby Rocker
Baby rockers provide a caring, nurturing presence for the youngest members of our SFLS community by spending time caring for and interacting with infants and toddlers. Volunteers work alongside our experienced infant care teachers, helping provide the attention, comfort, and connection our youngest students need throughout the day.

Booster Club
The Booster Club brings together parents, teachers, staff, and families to support the success of SFLS middle and high school athletics, activities, and extracurriculars through fundraising and volunteerism. Volunteers can get involved by helping with fundraisers and other opportunities throughout the school year while building community and supporting the programs our students enjoy.

Celebrate His Gifts Gala
Our annual gala raises funds that support needs-based variable tuition and the Eagle Fund. From serving as chair of a committee to assisting with decorating, auction item procurement, event set up and clean up, and more, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Dr. Vaughn & JoAnn Meyer Memorial Golf Tournament
Founded by the Meyers in 2010, this annual tournament raises funds to support SFLS. You can get involved by serving on the planning committee or assisting on the day of the event with registration, selling drawing tickets and mulligans, hosting a game on a hole, and more.

Library
Help keep the SFLS library running smoothly while encouraging students to discover the joy of reading. Volunteers may assist with reshelving books, helping students check out materials, reading stories to classes, and other library activities as needed.

Lunch Servers
Help serve lunch to SFLS students and be part of their school-day routine. Volunteers can serve as little as one day a week or as often as five days a week, making this a flexible opportunity that can fit a variety of schedules.

Mentor Program
The SFLS Mentor Program pairs trained adult mentors with students who benefit from having a consistent, caring presence in their lives. Mentors meet with their students once a week during the lunch hour, offering encouragement, conversation, and a chance for each child to feel valued and seen.

Parent-Teacher Fellowship
PTF brings together parents, teachers, and members of the SFLS community to enrich the school experience for preschool through middle school students and families through fellowship events, field trips, school support, and more. The group meets monthly and welcomes new members throughout the year, offering a variety of ways to get involved and support our school community.
