We are humbled by and grateful for the gifts made to Sioux Falls Lutheran School—on special days of giving and every day—which help sustain our tuition assistance fund, support day-to-day operations, and invest in the development of future leaders.

Other Ways to Support Sioux Falls Lutheran School
Financial gifts are a powerful way to make an impact, but they are not the only way to invest in the mission of SFLS. There are many meaningful ways to get involved:
Relationally—Invite others into our community, share our story, and help us build strong connections
Physically—Volunteer your time and talents to support school events, classrooms, and special projects
Spiritually—Pray for our students, staff, and the continued ministry of Sioux Falls Lutheran School
Join our mentor program– a rewarding opportunity to encourage and support SFLS students in a personal and lasting way

EASY WAYS TO GIVE WHILE YOU SHOP
We also participate in several programs that allow families and friends to raise funds and supplies for SFLS through everyday activities. These simple options make it easy to support the school you love:
- Classroom Amazon Wish Lists – Ask your teacher for access to their wishlist to purchase items they need most and have them shipped directly to the school.
- Box Tops for Education – Scan your receipts and earn money for SFLS with everyday grocery purchases.
- RaiseRight – Purchase gift cards for places you already shop and a portion goes back to the school.
- Scholastic Book Orders – Search for your child’s teacher and allow them to earn classroom credits for books and educational materials.

Meet Our Development Team
The Development Team at Sioux Falls Lutheran School is dedicated to supporting the mission and growth of SFLS through strategic fundraising, community engagement, and meaningful events. We create and share opportunities for donors, families, and community partners to engage more deeply with the life of our school through thoughtfully planned initiatives, relationship-building, and mission centered events. Through this work, we see to bring together and strengthen the SFLS community in meaningful and purposeful ways.
Whether through philanthropy, engagement opportunities, or special events, our goal is to connect people to the heart of SFLS—ensuring that every gift of time, talent, and treasure helps advance our mission and allows Sioux Falls Lutheran School to continue to thrive. As Scripture reminds us, “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy” (Psalm 126:3).

Rev. Sailer joined the SFLS family as our Development Ambassador in 2025, but has been connected to our school for many years as a parent, Association Pastor, and President of the South Dakota District of the LC-MS. He enjoys representing SFLS, and encouraging and challenging God’s people to support a ministry that impacts lives for eternity.

Bree joined the SFLS family as our Development Coordinator in 2025. She has three children enrolled at SFLS and enjoys sharing her story, hearing others’ stories, and spreading the news and mission of SFLS as she works with donors and school supporters.
Tia Esser
Executive Director
Mrs. Esser began serving SFLS in 2010, first as Administrator (serving as both Executive Director and PS–8 Principal), and since 2021, as Executive Director. Her work centers on advancing the mission, supporting and developing our teams, strengthening relationships with families and supporters, and helping ensure the long-term health and sustainability of the school.
